Minnesota is honoring the golden retriever named Gilbert belonging to a prominent state lawmaker and her husband who were shot to death in their home.

Rep. Melissa Hortman, her husband, Mark Hortman, and their dog, Gilbert, were killed in a "politically motivated assassination" at their home on June 14.
