Manchester United will have to raise their bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, with the Bees said to be holding out for a deal similar to the Red Devils’ purchase of Matheus Cunha earlier this summer.

Bryan Mbeumo 's move to Manchester United is edging closer after the club submitted a second bid worth around £60million for the Brentford forward. Mbeumo has long been linked with a move to United, with the Cameroonian favouring Ruben Amorim's side over a reunion with Thomas Frank at Tottenham.

The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Brentford, who do have the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
