CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — There were mornings when St. Xavier High School football coach Steve Specht would walk into his office and find his young linebacker, Luke Kuechly, sitting in front of the television studying game video of the team's next opponent before sunrise.

CANTON, Ohio — Luke Kuechly has entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame along with Larry Fitzgerald, Drew Brees, Adam Vinatieri and Roger Craig. At 35, Kuechly became the second-youngest player inducted into the Hall. Chicago Bears running back Gale Sayers was 34 when he was inducted in 1977.

The newest Hall of Fame class was honored as the iconic bronze busts were unveiled on stage at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Newly-minted Hall of Famer Luke Kuechly earned a gold jacket despite a much shorter career than anyone expected.
