RIO BLANCO AND GARFIELD COUNTIES, Colo. (KRDO) - The Lee Fire has grown to 133,602 acres as of Friday, August 15, putting it on track to become the fourth-largest wildfire in Colorado history.

At least 15 fires have burned more than 216,000 acres across Delta, Dolores, Garfield, Grand, Mesa, Moffat, Montrose, and Rio Blanco counties, as well as in parts of eastern Utah.

Colorado’s Lee Fire has grown to 133,841 acres, making it the state’s fifth-largest wildfire. A new Yellowjacket Fire northeast of Meeker has burned 5 acres. Evacuation orders have been downgraded in parts of Rio Blanco and Garfield counties as containment efforts progress.
