Kody Clemens making most of time with Twins

The Twins acquired Kody Clemens for practically nothing, when they just needed a warm body with a bit of defensive versatility. They just so happen to have scooped up a player whose bat speed has skyrocketed.
Kody Clemens’ first homer with the Twins was memorable for many personal reasons: A game-winning knock at Fenway Park on May 3, with his dad, Roger Clemens, in attendance. That home run ended a four-game skid for Minnesota.
Clemens extended his on-base streak to five games against the Brewers Friday. He got things started with a scorcher to center field with two out and runners at first and second. He drove in the runner from second, giving the Twins an early 2-0 lead, per Twins Ribbies on X.
Kody, who is the son of former MLB great and longtime Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens, belted a home run for the Twins during the sixth inning of Saturday’s game against Boston at Fenway Park. “It was amazing,” Roger said, standing in the box during a rain delay with his wife — Kody’s mother, Debbie — and Kody’s wife, Jessica.

Kody Clemens, the son of former Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens, homered into the right-field seats in the sixth inning during his first game at Fenway Park.
Clemens, who already had an RBI single earlier in the second game, slammed a Yennier Cano (0-3) changeup for a three-run home run. That proved enough as the Twins won 8-6, earning a doubleheader sweep and extending their win streak to 10 games. Minnesota won the opener, 6-3.
