Shough is something of a wildcard. He enters the NFL as a 26-year-old rookie after seven years at the collegiate level, but he was hand-picked by Moore, his staff and New Orleans' front office in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Before training camp even started, New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore said there'd be a quarterback competition. However, most fans assumed Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough would be the only participants.

The four young and relatively inexperienced quarterbacks looking to earn playing time with the New Orleans Saints are portraying one another more as comrades than competitors as training camp gets going.
