Jonathan Joss' husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, shared a statement a day after the 'King of the Hill' star was fatally shot at his property in San Antonio, Texas during a dispute with a neighbor. Gonzales claimed he and Joss had been facing "years of threats" due to their sexuality and the shooting came after a spew of "violent homophobic slurs.

Joss’ childhood home, where he still lived, burned down in January. He lost all his belongings and his three dogs were killed in the blaze. A GoFundMe account had been set up to help Joss and his husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, get back on their feet.

The husband of Jonathan Joss said the San Antonio shooting that killed the King of the Hill voice actor was a homophobic attack. Joss, 59, was shot dead at around 7 p.m. on Sunday. Police arrested Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, 56, and charged him with murder over the shooting.
