DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel on Monday returned the remains of 15 Palestinians to Gaza in the latest step forward for a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, as a top White House envoy met with Israeli leaders to discuss the next stages of the fragile agreement.
President Donald Trump voiced support for Israel's actions after the U.S. ally carried out strikes across the enclave and traded accusations of truce violations with Hamas.
Along Lebanon's border, Israel has continued demolitions and attacks despite a ceasefire in the country's war with Hezbollah last year.

Hamas has said recovering bodies is complicated by the widespread devastation in the coastal enclave and has returned one to three bodies every few days. It has accused Israel of opening fire at civilians and restricting the flow of humanitarian aid into the territory. The number of casualties has dropped since the ceasefire took effect.
Israel's military has begun striking the Gaza Strip again, as Israel and Hamas traded blame for violating the ceasefire brokered by President Trump.
The Israeli military said in a statement that it would continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement and would respond firmly to "any violation."
The cease-fire with Hamas has blunted the hunger faced by Gazans during the war. But aid agencies say Israeli restrictions are still hobbling their work.
