A 12-year-old girl has been confirmed dead in a school shooting north of the Thai capital Bangkok on Friday, which also claimed the lives of five teachers and marked one of the country’s deadliest such incidents in recent years.

Relatives of victims of the shooting at a high school and a home outside Bangkok retrieved the bodies of their loved ones Saturday, a day after the gunman killed at least seven people.

Authorities say the suspect, who was a student at the school, used a handgun belonging to his grandfather in the attacks, before turning the gun on himself.
